 Abstract

The article discusses the specific features of a closed society in a modern global market economy. Shows the historical stages of development of a closed society. The main threats that challenge the modern open society are revealed. These threats include sharp stratification by income levels, increased population migration, epidemiological risks, threats of international terrorism, natural disasters, etc. The increasing role of the state is often associated with restrictive measures in the field of trade, business, and banking. The ultimate goal of economic development is to invest in human and social capital. It is this capi-talization that turns out to be the most profitable and productive. The idea is ex-pressed of the need for scientific development of various options for a closed society in a global market economy. The relative closeness of the countries will apparently lead to certain economic losses, however, this is a necessary measure, which is dictated by the logic of development of the global market economy in recent years.
